What’s Your Intention?
There’s a place inside of us that drives us to act in such a way. It’s like sitting behind the wheel, steering a Lamborghini full on, pedal to the metal, windows down as the wind is whipping around inside the car. This feeling, this desire, this motivation takes us on a road to either the good path or the not-so-good path… What type of person are you? which path will you choose to act out: good or bad? Well that’s up to the person… What’s your intention?
- 1.a thing intended; an aim or plan: “she was full of good intentions”
- 2.the healing process of a wound.
Plan Of Good Intention
Parents! Mentors! Role Models! Teachers! Preachers! It’s time to bring out the lessons to teach our children about ‘good intentions.’ I know some of you DO educate your kids and others about thinking of ALL PEOPLE and most importantly CARING about all those people (empathy) and I thank you for that! But somewhere along the line life gets incredibly busy and hard and the lessons we’d love to teach get put on hold, become that old-dusty book wayyyyy up high on the bookshelf forgotten about. It’s not only important to teach about the rights and the wrongs, the do’s and the don’ts but it’s almost MORE important to teach people about their INTENTIONS. (what’s their thought process behind the action?) Let happiness, caring, helping, love, and all the good stuff lead us to act in a good way. When your intent is to only benefit yourself, well, that leads to acting out of greed, jealousy, revenge which is not healthy for anyone.
I challenge you to become more aware of how you act and where it is coming from. What is leading you to act in the ways that you do? Pay attention to it and see what you come up with!
Take care readers!
