It All Starts With Mental Strength
There was a man who looked strong, built like a fighting bull, no one wanted to mess with him. Everyone who saw him thought of him as the strongest person alive. Yet as soon as he walked into his house and shut the door from the outside world, he walked to his couch and laid there with misery. (they were the best of friends… misery ‘does’ love company you know!) What these people failed to realize was that he wasn’t strong at all, matter of fact he cried himself to sleep just about every night. Yes he was physically strong, there’s no arguing that! But even the strongest looking man can be the weakest person inside. How can this be? Well, strength starts in the mind (mental strength!)
Mental Strength Resides In Everyone, We Just Find It In Different Ways!
Mental strength is extremely important when it comes to overcoming hurdles and pushing forward in life. It makes us resilient! It ties into that ‘Strong Will’ within us to keep us going and work through the blood, sweat, and tears.
Some people have this mental strength the majority of the time with an occasional vulnerable weakness. It’s as if they were born that way, they were ‘built tough’ (yes, I stole the Ford truck slogan, HA!) These tough-minded people have practiced mental strength throughout they’re life and may not even be aware of it! Whether playing sports from a young age to having siblings they’ve needed to fend off from time to time, to even growing up in a tough neighborhood. They’ve practiced it everyday!
Some people have to really work hard to reach that mental toughness. They can’t seem to move forward, they’re stuck in an unhealthy relationship with misery and can’t seem to break away. These people tend to have to hit rock bottom to get so sick of living in pain and unhappiness that they make up their mind to make a change. They find that mental power, that strength that was hidden inside of them all along and FIND it. It’s liberating to finally come to the conclusion that they’re ready to make that change. It’s a sense of feeling free from the unhealthy things in life that were once tying them down. They need mental strength to accept and move apart from the denial stage to make a clear decision that they have had enough and are READY!
