This week is a tough week for me… I won’t bore you with the details, but just trust me when I say ‘my life is jam-packed with too many MAJOR events…’ and I admit, I’m not handling the balancing act too well.” Prioritize is a must for me, but I still am not able to find enough time to get important things done… Oh where does the time go? How does one get through these tough times and still be able to smile? Appreciation! when you feel appreciated it motivates even the most tired person. Think about all the little acts people around you do to make you feel appreciated, and even more important, how and what have you done to make someone you care about feel appreciated?
In the mist of moving and cleaning out my entire house I’m closing on Friday, and not to mention the buyers ‘final walk through is today…’ My tired body, sore with every move stumbled upon something when sorting through my son’s old room… I found a colorful piece of paper decorate with hearts, I saw the word MOM on it, soooooo needless to say I read it! My son had written “My mom is the best” then I flipped it over and he added “I love my mom.” … and at that moment I realized this stress of everything going on is not important. You see, I have a son who loves me so much he decided to write these wonderful words, when he could have drawn Pokemon or super heroes which he does quite often. He took time out of his day to make this special artwork for me (which he said he lost so he couldn’t give it to me- I found it under his dresser). I felt special to read this kind act, I felt loved, and hey, maybe he does see all my effort to try being a damn good mom… whew (as I wipe my forehead)!
Thinking of one kind act gets you to think of more kind acts others have done, it has a snowball effect… Wow, my family has been doing a lot for me, helping me move for one thing! that’s never fun emptying out a house and here they are with me sweating the whole live long day! I’ll have to show my appreciation for their hard work, good thing there are many ways to thank someone… even a simple note/letter that speaks from the heart can mean the world to someone… which brings me to the point of this post “Show someone you love appreciation.” Write someone a little special note and brighten up their day, go ahead now, grab that paper and pen and get to work. Thank them for the things they help out with and what you love about them… Don’t worry you can take all the credit for this idea, I don’t mind (that’s me pointing and giving a wink)
Have a great day, and remember to show the people you love appreciation it will only make your relationships more incredible, rich, and amazing.
