Believe In Miracles!
Miracles happen everyday, and I had the pleasure of being one of those miracles May 16th 2012 (exactly 4 years ago, to this date!). Having Acute Liver Failure 4 years ago, sent me to the hospital and right away Doctors were saying ‘this is bad, this is very bad.’ They were preparing my folks for the worst, telling them I had 24-48 hours to live. Initially they couldn’t do anything for me (other than lab work), because the Doctors had to first find out why my liver stopped working before giving me pain relief (Oxy) or chelating medicine (Trientine). After labs came back, they could see my liver stats had a toxic level of copper (one of the most ever recorded), and at the moment I was diagnosed with Wilson’s Disease. [Read more…]
