How do we build a stronger immune system, well, it can be done by tweaking a few things we do in our every day life. The way we look and the way we feel is often the result of our lifestyle, another factor is, of course, our genes (which we cannot change). I would like to help people who may be having an out-of-balance immune system get back on track by providing tips found from research by professionals in the field. [Read more…]

What Is The Art Of Decision Making?

The Alchemist is an International Bestselling Phenomenon, written beautifully by Paulo Coelho. It is now one of my most beloved books to read. It is a book I will be able to read many times and will forever be in my collections to keep, and a book I will always recommend.
A few weeks ago I had finished my last book I was reading and loved as well, ‘Go Set A Watchman’ by Harper Lee… I was wondering how I was going to find another book that I would absolutely love, when I came across ‘The Alchemist.’ Just reading the introduction of the book I knew I was hooked, I knew it was going to be a great book. Not only is this book written so well to place you right there with the main character and all his journeys, but what the author chose to write about is true and is exactly how I view the world and my life since my near death experience in 2012. My views on life and the world are much more soulful, I seem to have a better grasp on what life is about and what I should be doing. [Read more…]
Life is precious… Whenever we find ourselves going through a near death experience or knowing someone who has passed do we really think about how precious it is. I was born with a rare liver disease that almost took my life, it was scary and a major wake up call to how life should be lived here on earth. I am in the process of writing my journey through each phase (from living with warning signs and going to the Doctors frequently, to my spiritual existence, to then my recovery).
I am sharing a piece of my story with you in this blog posting… My Book is called “Copper Is My Kryptonite” when it is complete I hope that you will want to read all of it.
Copper Is My Kryptonite

I was in the Lords hands now,
Praying to see the sunrise,
to see another day of life… [Read more…]

Have you gotten your flu shot yet?
The flu season usually starts in the month of September all the way into May. It’s important for people to get the flu shot to help stop the spread of this highly contagious illness. I know some people do not like to get the immunization because they believe it makes them sick, or they don’t think it works, or are allergic to eggs, or even believe there’s a link to the shot and autism in babies and toddlers. I will give you up to date information from Web MD and the CDC (Center’s for Disease Control) website. This way you can make an informed decision on whether to get the shot or not. [Read more…]
This Monday’s Health topic is on blood donation, a gift that will help save lives!
During my hospital stay, I had received a couple of blood transfusions and I know it made a huge impact on my health. My genetic liver disease will not allow my liver to process copper in the foods and drinks I consume. It’s a disease that, unfortunately, is difficult to diagnose without having liver failure. Not only did I have liver failure, but my blood was saturated with copper… it had been poisoned to the point my blood was orange, not red! The minute I received a blood transfusion I began to feel alive, that I had more energy to fight for my life. Someone who had donated blood, gave me the gift of life and I am forever grateful…Thank you!
