Whatever happened to letting kids be a little disappointed and having them learn how to cope with that feeling? Or even more important… how to be happy for others who have received an award for their hard work. [Read more…]
The Alchemist is an International Bestselling Phenomenon, written beautifully by Paulo Coelho. It is now one of my most beloved books to read. It is a book I will be able to read many times and will forever be in my collections to keep, and a book I will always recommend.
A few weeks ago I had finished my last book I was reading and loved as well, ‘Go Set A Watchman’ by Harper Lee… I was wondering how I was going to find another book that I would absolutely love, when I came across ‘The Alchemist.’ Just reading the introduction of the book I knew I was hooked, I knew it was going to be a great book. Not only is this book written so well to place you right there with the main character and all his journeys, but what the author chose to write about is true and is exactly how I view the world and my life since my near death experience in 2012. My views on life and the world are much more soulful, I seem to have a better grasp on what life is about and what I should be doing. [Read more…]

Most of the time my kids are sweet and loving… but just like most families we all deal with a little back talk from time to time. It’s kids pushing their boundaries and testing their parents, which is part of growing up and their development. But I think we can agree that certain things we can live without, like Back Talk!
As a mom, I like to research and talk to other moms to gain as much advice on home life, as possible. I would love to share some helpful tips to put an end to back talk in a respectful way.
Life is precious… Whenever we find ourselves going through a near death experience or knowing someone who has passed do we really think about how precious it is. I was born with a rare liver disease that almost took my life, it was scary and a major wake up call to how life should be lived here on earth. I am in the process of writing my journey through each phase (from living with warning signs and going to the Doctors frequently, to my spiritual existence, to then my recovery).
I am sharing a piece of my story with you in this blog posting… My Book is called “Copper Is My Kryptonite” when it is complete I hope that you will want to read all of it.
Copper Is My Kryptonite

I was in the Lords hands now,
Praying to see the sunrise,
to see another day of life… [Read more…]

Why Not Learn A New Language As A Family?
It will not only help with bonding time, but it will be easy to practice together as a group. There are many languages to choose from, as well as many resources out there to learn from.
