Oh So Clever (Little Tricks To Help YOU!)
I know your probably thinking ‘clever tricks! please tell me!’ Well, wait no more because I have some pretty amazing ideas for the irritating things that happen to you AND the fixes consist of things you most likely have in the house… let’s give those items a new meaning to life.
Clever Trick For Your Books!
Well, you’ve got a collection of your all time favorite books that you just CAN’T give away. These books are your go-to books when you want to read a familiar great story over and over again! They never let you down and you never want to lose them… And while you could write your name in them to make sure everyone knows it’s yours (that is if you’re daring and decided to lend it to someone or if by chance one gets left somewhere and a lovely person that finds it will then return it to you) instead, why not use a return-address label that you would normally put on an envelope into your book (no one can read your chicken scratch anyway!) This will make it easier for the borrower to remember who lent the book OR for the finder of the book to read the label and contact you to return it… Oh so clever! [Read more…]
How To Show Respect
How is it that some people lack the certain skills of showing RESPECT to others? were they not taught it, do they not care, are they focused solely on themselves and are not aware of their actions (or lack there of) that comes off as rude and disrespectful? Is it one of those ‘common sense’ ideas that not all people have?… like they were just not born with it and have a hard time recognizing ones own actions and thoughts? It baffles me sometimes when people show disrespect and don’t catch themselves to apologize or even worse complain about the person they just disrespected like it’s their fault… my goodness, let’s learn about respect so we can teach it and hopefully get these disrespectful people to have an epiphany and make a change for the better… maybe they just need a list of respectful examples that they can follow, you know… spell it out…
The Definition of Respect: admiration for someone or something that you believe has good ideas or qualities: the polite attitude shown toward someone or something that you considerimportant: Respects are polite expressions of greeting or sympathy. Cambridge Dictionary Now that we know what respect is let’s take a look at a few examples to showing respect in our daily lives…
The Best Way To Self Reflect (The Interview)
Finally a moment’s peace, gazing out at the sunset in an open field taking in the fresh air and the ability to hear your thoughts (I must say, they’re amazing thoughts you smarty pants!) It’s a time to self reflect, to get to know YOU better, to plan for the future while thinking about the past so you learn and can avoid mistakes as best as possible (no one wants to repeat the same mistakes right?!)
A great way to learn about who you are is to interview yourself like if you were on the ‘Actors Studio, 60 Minutes, or conversing with Oprah…’ (my mom must be happy I mentioned Oprah because she used to watch her show religiously singing and dancing just before it started… ‘Guess what time it is Eloise?’ she’d ask… and before I could answer she’d dance and announce ‘its Oprah Time!’) Okay, I got side tracked a little… back on topic… where was I… Ah yes! Interviewing yourself… [Read more…]

Warning: you will not learn a dang thing from this post, but you might relate and laugh a little!
Oh no! Ever since you’ve climbed out of bed this morning the cray -cray started… with the crying little one, the tantrum older one, the sleeping so sound spouse, and the dog running around whimpering to be let out, with the cat in the background meowing ‘hurry -up lady, I’m hungry!’ (you just know that’s what the cat is saying!) You pause for a moment, so you don’t lose your cool… and think ‘what a day this is going to be!’ [Read more…]
How Good Are You At Reading People? (Quiz)
Let’s discuss the importance of reading Peoples non-verbal cues, then have you take the quiz!
Being able to socialize and pick up on others emotions is a great quality for people to have, an important one, to be able to read others non-verbal cues (the fearful look in their eyes, the annoyed look they cast your way, the desirable yummy look when they see what they like!) when it comes to socializing and getting along with others we must consider how they feel to then play off of that.
According to Judith Orloff, M.D. author of The Empath’s Survival Guide: Life Strategies for Sensitive People(link is external), Dr. Orloff is a psychiatrist, an empath, and is on the UCLA Psychiatric Clinical Faculty there are three techniques to reading people’s non-verbal cues: observe others body language, listen to your intuition, and third is to sense others emotional energy. Tips To Getting The Perfect Haircut And Coloring From Expert Hair Stylists

She talked it up big time… ‘short hair is so easy to take care of Eloise and you’d look super cute with it, blah, blah, blah…’ My mother is an artist and she DID cut my hair straight, BUT going from always having long hair to then chopping it all off can be a BIG change.
